I had to update my credit card recently on my UBER account, but when my family tried to plan a trip, it was not possible.
Apparently the credit card was not recognized for the Family account. After checking and searching for information online, I find out that on IOS version it was not possible to see the family account in the settings, but was possible to see it on Android version.
But after I have added the credit card and tried to select it for the Family account, I was having an error message saying a default payment should be set.
After several attempts, I got the the conclusion I had first to delete the payment method set in my uber account, then add it through the family account payment method. Then the payment method was added correctly and my family could request a ride on their UBER app’s.
It all the information I could find online, are saying that this is an issue on the app and is present for several months. Certainly UBER will have to fix this issue and uniformize the UBER app versions.
